Why Baptism?

Baptism was not a routine Jewish ritual.  Why do you think it was important for Jesus to be baptized?
What else stands out to you about chapter 3?

    I think it was important for Him to be baptized because He was setting an example to us.
    Ex: In Genesis 2:2 God rested when he was done creating the earth. ...I'm pretty sure He wasn't actually tired and He was just setting an example for us :)
